With the Silent Brick Pro and the Controller Pro, we have developed a completely new architecture to get the best performance out of the individual components.
The Controller Pro is based on the latest PCIe Gen4 architecture, contains a high-quality multi-core CPU and allows connection via 100G Ethernet.
Each Silent Brick contains 12 Generation 4 NVMe modules, which are 13x faster than SATA SSDs, such as those installed in the Silent Brick Plus.
This results in an incredible 6 GB/sec constant data rate under real conditions. 100TB can thus be transferred in approx. 6 hours - approx. 6 times as fast as in the Silent Brick System with Silent Brick Plus. As S3 object storage, this results in just under 2 GB/sec - a best value for a single-node system.
The Silent Brick Max also benefits from the modern architecture and offers around twice the performance on the Controller Pro as before.
Veeam Ready with Fast Clone Support.
Silent Brick Pro and Silent Brick Max are not only fully certified for the latest Veeam version, but also benefit from Fast Clone Support, which speeds up and significantly reduces backup and restore times.

The Silent Brick Pro accommodates up to 96 TB in the space of a postcard, with a height of just 3 cm. In the Controller Pro with 8 slots, up to 768 TB can be stored on 2 height units - all completely NVMe. Is that a world record?
But not all storage has to be NVMe. With the Silent Brick Max, up to a further 240 TB are available per height unit. Up to 26 units can be managed per Controller Pro, resulting in a total capacity of up to 7 petabytes per Controller Pro - on just 30 height units*.

With the Silent Brick Pro system, your data is securely protected against loss and manipulation. Our Zero Loss principle protects against the consequences of a cyber attack, from the consequences of component failures to the loss of an entire site, and also offers up to 10 years of protection via our CARE maintenance contract.
Added to this is the guaranteed backwards compatibility. This means that Silent Brick Max storage modules can be transferred directly from existing Silent Brick systems without any problems, including all data. Data on Silent Brick Plus and Air can be easily transferred via replication or copying.

The Silent Brick Pro is designed to be as sustainable as possible in all aspects of development and production. This starts with production, where we carefully select all components and prefer the more sustainable option when in doubt. Local sourcing and regional production enable us to keep delivery routes short - which also benefits availability.
NVMe modules consume no power in “idle” mode and are therefore more energy-efficient than systems whose enterprise hard disks have to be in constant operation. But our HDD-based Silent Brick Max also help to save energy. Depending on the application, individual storage units can be completely switched to standby mode when not in use. The optimized cooling and high packing density ensure less need for cooling in the data center. This drastically reduces energy consumption.
Complete data protection.
Great combination.
Our storage systems can be perfectly combined with each other. You can simply move Silent Brick Max from existing Silent Brick systems to a Controller Pro, without migration, without risks. You can either continue to use Silent Brick Plus and Air as pure Air gap media or replicate the data to new media in the Pro system.
To reduce the load on your backups, you should remove unstructured data, e.g. from file servers, from the data backup and back it up using an active archive. With Silent Cubes, we offer perhaps the most secure storage system with True WORM sealing.
