# Current software versions 

Find out what software version is the right one for your Silent Cubes system. If in doubt, contact us before updating.

[Software 2.x

Use this software version, if you

- Use a Head Unit C2 or a Silent Cube Compact
- Have a Head Unit C4 and your software shows a version 2.x

Consider upgrading to a modern Head Unit (Pro) with software 3.x. While we will continue to provide security fixes for version 2.x, latest features might only be available for software 3.x.

**Important:** If your Silent Cubes System is running a version with build number below **2.00.29.8165**, make sure to upgrade as soon as possible to guarantee continuous supprt.

- Use a Head Unit or Head Unit Pro (H1000 / H1000 Pro / H1040 Pro)
- Have a Head Unit C4 and your software shows a version 3.x

Update your Silent Cubes system regularly to maintain maximum security and to benefit from new features and improvements.
