The Silent Cubes Head Unit is the interface between your archive application and Silent Cubes long-term storage. Depending on your requirements and infrastructure, you can choose between a physical or a virtual appliance.

Head Unit and Head Unit Pro integrate seamlessly into your archive infrastructure thanks to extensive certifications. Data from the archive applications is temporarily stored on the Head Unit and then moved to the long-term storage Silent Cubes, depending on the volume type selected. When requested, the Head Unit automatically makes the data available again. Intelligent caching ensures that data that is needed more frequently is kept in the cache for longer.
